US Patent No. 9,956,163 B2; Colorescience, Inc., Carlsbad, CA, has patented a high SPF formulation (liquid, cream or gel) for treating skin discoloration. It is comprised of effective amounts of: bidens pilosa extract; acetyl rheum rhaponticum root extract; a vitamin E compound; thermus thermophilus ferment extract; zinc oxide and titanium dioxide.
